Now, I know she's more "celtoid" than a Celtic scholar, but Mary McLaughlin has a stunningly beautiful chant, "Yundah", on her cd "Daughter of Lir", as a background harmony for a song she wrote. I saw her at Old Songs and asked her the source, and all she could say was that it's a Hebridean selkie song. Does anyone know the chant, the source, etc.?
