I went to see him this morning and he was being grumpy - a sure sign that he is mending, although slowly.

He has got tubes etc out and is being allowed, nay forced, to perambulate the ward. His surgeon is happy with him and if he continues as he is doing he may be evicted homeward by early next week.

Gillie is coping with both him and decorating the Watering Hole for the Christmas period - keeping the rest of us under her firm fist!
