A guy goes into a second hand shop and enquires about a golden rat that he saw in the window. The shopkeeper say's "It's £10 for the rat and another £50 for its secret". The guy decides that he just wants the rat and pays for it and leaves the shop.

As he is walking home, all the rats in the area start to follow him and by the time he reaches a bridge, he was fed up with this and blames the golden rat which he throws in the river and the rats all jump in to the river and drown. The next day he returns to the shop and the shopkeeper said "I know, you want the secret", he replies "no I've come to buy the golden banjo that's in the window".
