I would add that not all the biscuits need be savory. A sweet digestive goes well with a sharp cheese. As does a piece of fruit cake. But, at the end of the day, this is just to wind the meal up, not the meal itself! (Although there's a thought.)

Love your parting shot pdq. I used to like Brie until I had a recent operation to clear polips from my nose. I got my sense of smell back. The Brie went in the bin...
