Now, we have to give credit where credit is due. The MIDI is by "Polka Joe" Larson, of Norm Dombrowski and the Happy Notes.
This is very similar to the tune used by Spike Jones and his City Slickers. Now, I don't know if I'd use Spike Jones as an authority on what the original tune was, but I'll betcha most people know the song from the Spike Jones recording. We still need to find the original tune from the original recording, so the hunt continues. If somebody can find the sheet music and send me a scan or a midi or NWC transcript, I'll post it.
