I haven't opened the wrapped pressies but the signed record album by Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger has already blown me away....wow,is all I can say.How like you to give away something so precious, thank you seems inadequate for such a fabulous gift.

The jams and preserves look wonderful ( guess who'll be fighting her kids off on Christmas morning when they make their debut on the breakfast table?). And the toffee/chocolate apple.....how did you know they are my favourite? There will be chocolate all over my face and toffee in my ears before bedtime, I expect.

Thank you. I was feeling just a little low this morning and then got a lovely long phone call from my brother, whom I haven't heard from in many months and then your wonderful presents. I think today is going to be a very good day after all.
