Welllllllllll.....I'd say that 99.9% of our presents remain wrapped in hopes that VV Varone will soon return....and we aren't going to open any gifts until she gets home...HMPH!   What? Mom...what did you say? There are 2 presents that you want us to open today? But Mom...what about waiting for VV Varone? Yes, I know there is a mountain of gifts (which by the way is incredibly TOO MUCH) but we are grown ups here...we can wait. Mom...really....don't put those presents next to us....stop shaking that little box in my face...yes, yes, good things DO come in small packages.....I AM NOT SMIRKING...STOP STOP STOP.....I'll open it...okay...OK....I'LL OPEN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   *smirk*

And so the story goes..........LOL. I got a beautiful pair of dangley pearl earrings from my mom (which my sister picked out!) and a lead crystal hurrican lamp with a wreath of hemlock greens, teeny tiny pine cones and red berries! My husband got a brass barometer (is that spelled right?!?!?) that shows the usual changes in pressure and such but also a scale to show when the fishing is good, not so good and why aren't you out in the stream already?? :)

The rest of the gifts WILL wait until the little one returns...which of course...will be the absolute best gift of all!
