Some years ago I was fortunate enough to enjoy a delicous repast at a very nice restaurant off Stephen's Green, Dublin. The quail veronique was excellent, as was the wine. But the appetizer was quite interesting: it was on the menu as a speciality pate, but when I tasted it, it tasted like nothing other than what is sold in the United States as "Potted Meat Product."

Quite an interesting experience, I must say.
