As stated in another thread, Anselm Noffke, a major figure on the German folk scene with his band Liederjan for thirty years, and a most kind and gentle soul, died in December aged 57.
Less than a fortnight later Wulf Pohley, soundman extraordinaire for many folksingers (and others) doing gigs in Kiel, Germany, and a dear, witty and wise friend of mine for over ten years, finally lost his battle with his failing heart, aged 61.
Neither will be forgotten for a long time to come.
