SPOOF

A drinking game to decide who pays for the next round of drinks.

Each player has a number of coins in their pocket (minimum3)
At an agreed signal each player brings his/her (hereafter HIS) clenched fist from his pocket holding 0,1,2 or more coins (anything over 3 counts as 3)
Each player in turn estimates the total number of coins being held (i.e maximum 3* number of players, minimum zero), No player may guess a number already claimed during that turn.
Anyone guessing correctly the total drops out and awaits a drink paid for by the last person left in.

The element of 'Spoof' comes in as it is easier to guess the total once others have guessed. (If the first 3 of 4 people guess 'High' it is a good chance that their average holding is greater than the1.5 average)
When you're down to 2 players, and playing first, do you make an honest attempt at the total, or 'spoof' to throw your opponent off and let you guess second??

I used to get several evenings of free drinks playing this with a regular crowd of half a dozen in our local club. As it was a completely 'random' game, no-one kept count of the percentage of 'rounds' they actually bought!
