Great green gobs of greasy, grimy gopher guts
Mutilated monkey meat, chopped up birdies' feet
French fried eyeballs swimmin in a pool of blood
And I forgot my spoon...

So... "EARLIEST DATE: 1988" refers to what? The earliest date on a written copy? The first time one of the editors/collectors knows of the song being sung? All I can say is I'm sure it was around for years before I learned it -- which was almost 20 years before '88...
