Thanks Guest, couldn't you at least mis-spell "guest" or something so I could follow your posts as well? It's fun to develop an ongoing impression.

I doubt the Simple Life could possibly live up to Green Acres, which was really very sharp. I have a theory that a patent attorney must've been involved in it's conception, because of it's take on the Kafka-esque conflict of reasonable ideas in a rutted, conventional culture. The county agent was the personification of patent-law prolixity and Mr Hainey was the invention-world's perpetual scam artist. It would be fun if there was a show in China about a guy who invented a spoon.

Paris Hilton could be very pretty if one were disposed to like her, but is stringy and freakish if not. I realized the other day that a strikingly beautiful friend's looks had a lot to do with her Al Sharpton personality--she's a nut, but is so believable in the way she constantly flatters you that even if she looked like Quasimodo you'd still feel there's just something about her. She's so perceptive!
