Moocowpoo, would you mind telling me the names of some of the Finnish pieces that you like to play?

Interestingly, when I play traditional Finnish music (mostly waltzes), people think they're from a lot of very non-Nordic places. Usually they think I'm playing music from Italy, France, or Eastern Europe. The most common response I get is "That sounds like music from the 'Godfather' movies". I tell them that it sounds to me like the music has some of the dark and moody qualities of Russian music, combined with, or alternating with some of the brightness of Scandinavian music.
