Of course, we know that's "Edelweiss," and that the original lyrics were written in English by Oscar Hammerstein. Many times, people ask me for the "real" version in German. I haven't seen a German translation that totally satisfies me, but here's one:

Edelweiss, Edelweiss, Jeden Morgen mich gruessen Klein und weiss, rein und weiss, Du siehst mir aus so froehlich. Blume von weiss wie du wachs und blum, Wachs und blum fuer ewig. Edelweiss, Edelweiss, Meine Heimat gesegnet.
