For those who may not remember, I want to point out what this lovely woman wrote way back in May of 1999. The thread was called, "watcha'say let's have our own festival". Anna, who was then known as "annap" and who had been at the Mudcat for only about a month said, "We could have it at my house." In that moment annap's gathering was launched. It was the very first, open to the public, Mudcat gathering.

It is largely because of Anna's pioneering spirit that we are now blessed with so many Mudcat gatherings throughout the world.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting Annamill can attest to this woman's incredible generosity and remarkable ability to make any visitor feel welcome and comfortable.

Personally, I feel very strongly connected to Anna and will always be proud to call her my friend.
