Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Bombers' Moon
Hi Eugene,
I have just read the words to "Bomber's Moon", which you kindly sent in. I have always liked Mike Harding, but I didn't realise he got that good. It was of particular interest to me because Merle (8) and Jonah (5), my two (German) children, are sleeping peacefully next door as I type this from Cologne. In the twenty years I have lived here, I have learned quite a lot more about Cologne and its part in the war.
I was also interested in the mention of the name Jurgen Bock. It could be spelt the way you spelt it, or it could be the chap I ran into some years ago. At the time he was a sound engineer and the producer of "Forces Folk" for BFBS. I went in and did a session there circa 1985. He also recorded a short live set of mine. He was a very nice bloke. He must be well into his sixties by now. I wonder if you could ask Mike Harding if we are talking about the same man. I haven't seen him since then, largely because the forces folk scene, which he was interested in, ceased to exist around the end of the eighties.
         Regards,
                Alan.
