What "most economists think" about anything is hardly a basis for making any kind of judgment. What is relevant is, which of them are correct in their judgment.

It's probably true to say that, at any time, what "most economists" - think is going , within a handful of years, to be considered completely wrong, by "most economists" of the next generation. And the same goes for any kind of analogous experts. Economics is in many ways better thought of as a branch of philosophy rather than a science.
