The Scots one is the Isle of Arran , and the Irish ones the Aran Isles. West of the Isle of Arran you can see Paddy's Milestone, otherwise known as Ailsa Craig, a great big lump of granite that rises almost straight out or the sea. They used to quarry granite for curling stones there, it's now just a bird colony.
