Both my brother and my parents bought most of the records in our house, and my tastes were led accordingly (and far better than what I would have come up with on my own.) I do believe I bought "This Diamond Ring" by Freddie and the Dreamers(?) as a single and the first record must have been something by the Beatles..Maybe Sgt Pepper...
