Folk music is a big church - but some music doesn`t fit. Hard to tell what sort - and also some types are acceptable in one club and not so much in another.
Dave Bryant - I know him not - seems to have been very constructive - and this thread seems to be very self promoting to this lady so maybe you are that type of girl who is using this thread as a publicity vehicle.
There are some clubs which will not book certain singers performers because this or that particular singer does not fit in with their idea of a Folk night - nowt wrong with that-their members & attendees are paying - so they know a general direction they want to go in.
Sounds like a bit of practice and new songs are needed young lady - and the only tips I can give,is,leave the drum at home and find clubs where they will tolerate you - however difficult
