And Carolyn Hester will be doing a concert in the near future at the Old Town School Of Folk Music in Chicago. I'd love to get to that. I do believe I learned the fine old ballad of the lumber woods, "PETER EMBERLY", from an early recording of Ms Hester. It took me 20 more years to realize that the tune she used was "Come All You Tramps And Hawkers".

SOME THREAD CREEP---Tomorrow, Saturday, April 3rd, 2004 some friends are coming out here to haul me into my old home town of Chicago for the Memorial gathering for the late Fred Holstein at the O.T.S.F.M. This will be a real celebration of the man and his music. I hope to see some of you there.
