I think it's already been shown that Julius Rosenberg was technically guilty, although the information he tried to give the Russians was practically useless. (He didn't know that, but the government did.) Ethel Rosenberg was innocent. The government knew this, too. They prosecuted Ethel to put more pressure on Julius to confess.
