Subject: Folklore: Upton Folk Festival 30 April to 3rd May
The Upton Folk Festival is a fun and frolic event with loads of Morris, loads of fringe sessions and singarounds as well as the usual venues you have to pay for to keep the event going.

This year there is a big problem with the Bridge at Upton.
It cannot take heavy or large vehicles, so the Highways people have restricted the traffic over the bridge to cars only. It has a one way system with traffic lights, so even if you can get through the width restriction, there are likely to be queues.
The best thing to do is to avoid coming off the junction on the A38 to Upton, and cross the river either at Worcester (If you are coming from the NORTH) or at Tewkesbury, at the Mythe Bridge(if you are coming from the South). Take at a look at the map first, bearing in mind the obvious route using the A38 and the Upton bridge is not an option).
Cars with caravans are advised not to try to get over the bridge, as the width restriction is very tight, and there are concrete walls in place to stop wider/ higher vehicles.
