I agree with Mick. Dogs truly are one of the greatest gifts, and some of the finest teachers. You can miss the open adoration (when he sat with you playing, he probably thought you were the best guitar player he'd ever heard) but you can also learn that by wisely applying that sort of mentality in your own life, there is a great bounty to be found.
