Smoking on the brain

If they don't wreck your lungs first, cigarettes will wreak havoc in the brain, a new study says. Dutch researchers found that smoking speeds dementia and Alzheimer's -- likely by clogging delicate brain arteries -- and that elderly puffers face mental decline five times faster than non-smokers.
