Well, it's almost 5 a.m. -- I've been awake since quarter of three. Got a few things to transfer to notebooks and will leave that incredible mound of paperwork at home today instead of teathered to my shoulder in a briefcase.

I'm not sure, but I think one of our inside-the-house feral cats (Creamsicle) escaped last night while I was on the computer and Sabine clawed the door open. I just told Mortimer to bring her back (preferably before she gets knocked up).

Wish me luck on the car starting -- prolly loose wires from the bumpy road down the hill. Gotta move all Tom's stuff into it today for temp storage until he gets out of the ICU and into a regular room.

And I know your thoughts and prayers are with both of us today -- the support of friends has been unbelievably wonderful. And the concern and assistance from total strangers.

Today, for the first day since last Thursday, I have nothing to do but sit and wait and concentrate all my love and attention on Tom. No documents to photocopy, phone calls to make (well, later), people to see (well, I hope I see some friends in the ICU waiting room,), running around, etcet etcet -- you know what I mean.
