Whew, it's been a full day already and I haven't even gotten dressed yet.

Talked to Tom early this morning and they had already taken the lung drains out and the pacemaker was still disconnected. He's set to get out of the ICU as soon as they find an empty room for him in step down.

Just had a delightful call from Micca who caught me up to my elbows in cat doo-doo. I had just emptied the litter box (in the rain, of course) and cleaned it and thought it was about time to shovel out the spot between the washer & dryer that the cats like when they get finicky or someone's used the litter box before them. Well, Micca snapped me out of my shit shoveling mood ASAP and left me laughing.

Right now I need to finish up a few things around here, get dressed and make all the stops I have to make before seeing Tom (including taking a sheaf of papers to the patient advocate).
