As Tom just said, "There are no bad days" but today is, I think, a mediocre one.

Tom had trouble falling asleep last night, so ended up sleeping very little.

I slept, I'm sure of it, but I am sooooo sleepy and exhausted today that I have trouble believing it. Maybe it's just all catching up on me. Tried to nap around 8 a.m., but it wouldn't take. I have a couple physically demanding (litter box emptying?!?) things to do today, but mostly just phone calls, taking Tom for his walk around the store (and picking up a few things at the pharmacy -- not prescriptions, thank goodness!), and then a drive to Dover to pick up some forms that I have to submit tomorrow.

While emptying the litter box, I tugged out some of the grass growing in between the bricks encircling the sundial garden, and put some leaves on the compost pile. Discovered that we didn't lose the bonica rose that I transplanted last summer and thought had died! And the feverfew has expanded. But I think I lost the older sage plants in the half barrel to the extreme cold in January despite the mulch.

Gotta go; maybe a nap will happen anyway.
