According to the sleeve notes on Colin Scot's album (Colin Scot United Artists UAG29154), "Do the Dance Now, Davey" was written by Martin Hall and published by Belsize Music. When I get a minute, I'll post the lyrics.

That same album also featured two other Martin Hall songs: "You're Bound to Leave Me Now" and "Here we are in Progress", along with Mudcatter Harvey Andrews' "Hey Sandy", Neil Innes' "Lead Us", and, my personal favourite, "Baby in my Lady" by Mike Newbury.

The album is a bit "overproduced", but serves as a poignant reminder of Scotty, who was more than just a bit popular in the late '60s and early '70s. He died in Amsterdam some years ago.

I could cut a cassette or maybe even a CD if anyone were interested.

PM me if you are.
