Thread Name: BS: Katlaughing's Jewelry
Subject: Katlaughing's Jewelry
I just thought I would start a thread regarding, not only kc's jewelry, but perhaps other mudcatters do something in the art/folkart realm, besides singing or playing an instrument.

I won the auction for kat's necklace and she made one similar to a totem necklace she had made for herself. I suggested a length (since I've always had a "singer's neck," I've found conventional chain/necklace lengths to be constricting) and told her about my coloring and what stones I like. The necklace is stunning and I will be wearing it at the Getaway for all to see. She has some very good scans of her work if you are interested.

For myself, besides singing, I sew, have a line of Folkart Dolls called "JennyLynn" dolls, and paint folkart. Plus, I'm a collector of different things, e.g., McCoy Pottery, Dept. 56 Snowbabies, old raggedy anne's, and a few other things.

I know there are potters, and makers of instruments out there. Perhaps if we post to a common thread, it will become a site for other mudcatters to view our wares. Come to think of it, bbc is so talented, perhaps there should be a category in the Mudcat Resources for just this kind of information. I'm always looking for something different for presents and feel my friends and family sometimes need a break from "my" artwork. Any thoughts on this? moonchild
