Quite a difference between the earlier Fourth Book, "The Music Hour," and the later Fourth Book,
"Near and Far," both Silver Burdett books. Different philosophies on the part of the compilers, and changing times.
"The Music Hour, Fourth Book," embossed in black on the green cloth hardcover and spine, and printed on the title page. No other names. "Dedicated to Edward MacDowell" also on cover and title page. Copyright 1929, 1937, Silver Burdett Co. NY, Boston, Chicago, SF. Authors McConathy, Miessner, Birge and Bray. A little smaller in size than the Music For Living Series. Cover picture of a fiddler and dancing couple, 19th c. dress.
