As sung by Saint Lonnie Donegan in the 50's the verses were gabbled so fast only a speed shorthand writer could have transcribed them!
I think the first verse began:
Last night I met my sweet Dorothy
something something matrimony

Please help a sad case who can't now remember the verses he once could gabble with the best of them. RtS
