I always find it interesting to see what these people do on retirement - the footballers always seem to have already set up a business unrelated to football, boxers do panto, and they *all* earn loads with after dinner speaking. There's a rather nice-looking ex-cricketer called Phil someone (I think) who I confess I had never heard of until he retired, but is on TV quiz and chat shows nearly every week now. Sometimes they do even better and become more well-known in 'retirement' than before.
