I think Rooney needed to come off before he blew a fuse and got sent off. I agree that he looked our best prospect though.
To be fair we were hanging on by the skin of our teeth for a large part of the game. It just seemed more cruel that it all went tits-up in the last few minutes.
Both Beckham and Owen were dissapointing when we needed a massive showing from them.
