Bob, I think you're onto something. Discussions don't get far before they get trashed by zealots. Since explanations don't work (because if you don't accept that individual's point of view they accuse you of evading the issues) avoiding those threads is probably the answer. Tho I've duked it out on a couple, my consumption of this stuff is way down.

Have you been by the Mudcat Tavern lately? We were waiting for Mmario to arrive (i.e., notice us) and offer to cook something big. And Rapaire has rattled off a long list of alcoholic beverages available at the MOAB--if you can get them at MOAB you can get them in the tavern. Might need to wheel a couple of folks over from the Mudcat Recovery Ward.
