Without Ray Charles, I'm not sure I'd be alive today. His music, first "Drown in My Own Tears," and then all the rest, helped me hang on after the breakup of my marriage back in 1962. I had to survive because I had a son to raise, but I felt that, without Ray, I'd have just gotten sick in some way and maybe died. Now my son has children of his own, and my younger children are grown up, too. Since Ray's death, I've developed a deep chest congestion. It's good to find this board. Most people I know don't understand, and I've felt so isolated in grief. Thanks for posting, everyone.
