OK,   here I am between a long work day and the monthly contra dance.

Already the promise to my garden to get out one basketful of weeds a day is broken. And I excused not making it to the Y to work out because I was getting all this exercise doing outside work ...

the sweet rocket is about to dump a ton of seeds, so I can add them to the swap.

does anybody remember how to make those little woven baskets out of an odd number of lavender and a piece of ribbon?? You tie the ribbon (narrow type) just under the flower heads, then weave the ribbon through the bent back (and hopefully willowy) stalks, and when you are done tie it on the outside -- well, I guess I remember well enough to give it a shot.. right after the dance .. abd a couple other things. if I wait long enough the lavender will be all done and I can forget it.

Anybody have a pack of kids who need a fundraiser at the local farmer's market?? Girls are more willing to do this as I recall.

anybody want to sit right out here and weave a little keepsake while we hum rounds together??
