12 years ago, whilst snowboarding my favorite local backcountry at Mt Cain, Vancouver Island, I heard some local kids call me that. I guess it had something to do with my particular expression of joy upon finding a patch of pow as yet untouched. The young guys were sort of amazed at this much older dude riding stick and I heard one tell another something like "that's that old Cain dog". I kinda liked it and now it's not only on many lists but is also the name of my production company and my solo acoustic bluesman-act alter-ego.
