In thinking back on the film and all the shocking and, also, moving moments---and, yes, some of Moore's scattershot approach there is one thing that stands out to me. Moore's final off camera speech wherein he tells how the poor of this nation have to be thanked for the sacrifices (that are being foisted on them in the name of employment) whilst the "haves" just keep going along---as he says, too, "...ongoing wars are necessary to keep the structure in tact". Though he did not, I believe credit Orwell , that is what 1984 is all about.
