I dunno, I saw Monster's Ball recently and I didn't think it was racist at all. Hell, movies are full of people of all types having promiscuous sex. I don't see any reason to single out Halle Berry or this particular script for criticism. Anyway, by the end of the movie, it's clear that the two characters actually love each other.
