Would I might fall asleep, with you within
These arms that long to hold love. Can I find
The will to stay awake, when dreams are blind
To reasons I can never your heart win?
In dream, you remain near: Hope is not sin,
To want to touch you. I'll not hide desire
To trace your curves, and kiss: I do not tire
Of passions that might let future begin.
Yet, dream is not enough: I need to know
That you have smile, and peace in mind, to give
My own heart ease. What can I send, to earn
What I would prize? How can I think to show
What dream of you now means? My hopes can live,
And all of future will to light return.
