Yes, I do understand being upset about the copyright issues around the best-known song, but quite frankly, it's as close to folk music as the popular culture is going to get and for that reason I like it!

Having said that, here are a few contributions:

(To the tune of (I think) the Merry Widow Waltz)

As for the lyrics posted by Mark Cohen, they are in fact the chorus to the song WYSYWYG referred to by John McCutcheon. The title of the song is "Cut the Cake".

But I still like "Happy Birthday to you..."
