It was 51 here last night, and it's not supposed to go over 82 today. Unlike Seattle, it's not raining.

Pocatello was noted in a recent book as having the third worst weather in the US. If that's true for a place with four wonderful seasons, the rest of the country must be paradise indeed. The high so far this summer has been in the very low 90s and while we're in a drought, there has been some rain and the wildfire danger has abated somewhat.

Last year at this time over 10,000 acres had burned. This year is less than 200, so far (and so good). This, BTW, is in a county that's bigger than the state of Connecticut (and LOTS bigger if you rolled it out flat).
