But that's the way it works on most other discussion boards I've been to. People always hold your quotes up for tortuous scrutiny. It may be unfortunate, and certainly I've been attacked, but I hold to the position that I stand by all my statements around here as long as I didn't quote facts that are incorrect.

I don't take posting here lightly (especially in the music section since there people are often looking for real info and advice).

---------- ---------------- ------------- -----------

Mudcat is like a pubilc pool.

Some of us jump in immediately; others wade in slowly to take measure of the waters.

Some of us spend all our time in the deep end, getting into every discussion and even diving down to the bottom of subjects; others either stay in the shallow end, mostly connecting with the occasional waves from someone's cannonball; while others stay in the adjacent hottub that is the music section.

Some repeatedly climb out of the pool, only to dive right back in whne the whim hits them; others perfer to stay in the water all day long.

Some are purposeful and try to exercise their minds by doing laps and water aerobic-like reserarch and discussion; while others float around and let what happens happen.

And while the rest of us usually chose to ignore it, some pee in the pool.
