Amusing what is required to make a song understandable. If the song "The Dove of Aberdeen" had been about the Mayflower, there would be few questions.
The Ship Dove of Aberdeen is probably known to a higher percentage of Canadians than is the case with the Mayflower and Americans. (Of course neither is known as well as the Titanic).
