Well, he has been definitive in doing what he did, but that is not a virtue in pursuit of a harmful course of action. He has been persistent in the face of criticism, but when the criticism is justified, that sort of persistence seems more like wrong-headedness. He has generated a lot of bonhomie among the troops when he visited them, but he did so under what appear to me to be false premises.
