Now if women in the service wish to control their own bodies,
they are prohibited from doing this. Violation of civil rights for women.

(Supports the Defense of Marriage Act — and a Constitutional amendment saying marriage is between one man and one woman.)

As if marriage needed a defense, it is another form of discrimination on the basis of a real red herring. How many marriages will be wrecked on the basis of allowing gay people to marry? Another Big Brother intrusion by Republicans.

(Requires states to conduct criminal background checks on prospective foster and adoptive parents.)

The act discourages the adoption process. The notion of
"criminal" is open to a variety of interpretations. This effectively outlaws gays from adoption which I suspect was the motive in the first place.
