For those who like to plan ahead, start planning now...Sunnycamp will be the first weekend in October and it will be early this year. We will have it in the small camp we had it in two years ago, not where we had it last year. It will be in Nahcotta, Washington, on the Long Beach Peninsula. On map, look for mouth of Columbia River, and go north up the peninsula there. It is a very beautiful location...facilities are OK..nothing special. Cabins are plain, unheated. The main lodge has a nice fireplace and a good size kitchen. Shower/bathrooms in a separate building. Cost is $50. Attendance is small, given that we are not too close to too many people (and love it that way)...but it is really nice to have the smaller group..cooking and everything is so easy. It's about 3.5 hours from Seattle, about 3 or so from Portland. This will be the third year. It's right on the waters of Willapa Bay, and right near the Ark restaurant (very famous). Get a carload of people together and come down. I don't think it conflicts with the Jewish holy days this year, as it did last year. It probably does conflict with Silver Falls in Oregon, but such is life. mg
