To put it simply; you are channeling. BUT YOU MUST BE CAREFUL. Many times the entities are NOT ALL POWERFUL as they claim, and NOT making connection with you for BENEVOLENT reasons.

I would HIGHLY recommend for you to treat this content with SUSPICION, then cast a medicine wheel, magic circle, smudge the area with on of the following frankinsence, white sage, Copal, you could make a ring of salt around you (Salt is purifying, and causes pain to negative entities (Salt or salt water was used for exorcisms in the Shinto religion, and the kahuna pule of Hawaii would perform exorcisms and house cleansing by sprinkling sea water with a ti leaf), or perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual Of The Pentegram, and call in the arch angels.

After you have created sacred space; state the affirmation aloud "No evil or negativity may cross this barrier. Then ask if the higher powers have a message for YOU or for you to share with the world (this way you do not invite entities of a lower level than YOU into the sacred space).

You may be channeling your protector and guide (called the Gardian angel, totem animal, 'Aumakua, Holy Guardian Angel, spirit guide (are several names for this protector and guide). You may be channeling one of the Great White Brotherhood, an arch angel, etc.
