Whitby has about 800 hours of organised events during the week ranging from major concerts to street theatre, it is a celebration of Music song and dance from the UK and Ireland. Where you go depends very much on your particular tastes, the festival basically envelopes the town, there are about 24 official indoor venues, numerous outdoor venues, dancing etc and THEN there's the fringe.
